VE3PRC - 145.01 MHz [ KA NODE ]
VE3PRC is the Peel ARC's packet node located in Brampton and can be reached with 1200 bps packet on 145.010 MHz. NEWS FLASH: VE3PRC is live on 220 MHz linking into the Southern Ontario Packet Radio Association - S.O.P.R.A. 9600 backbone. The Southern Ontario Packet Radio Association - SOPRA and the Peel ARC Inc. approved the installation of VE3TDS and its 220MHz link radio at the VE3PRC (Brampton, ON) node site. This link path is now active and is a direct link to the VE3INF (Acton, ON)node site. Further plans include extending the link east to the VE3CON (Weston, ON) node and to the VE3MIS (Mississauga, ON) node site. The group work to establish this link was made inpart by the GTA West ARES Packet Working Group working, the Peel ARC Inc. and the Southern Ontario Packet Radio Association. The VE3PRC node site was a good candidate location to put VE3TDS (formerly on 145.010 MHz) back on the air as the Toronto Digital Switch for the Greater Toronto Area West. Under the current proposal the node VE3PRC would remain as the user port on the frequency 145.010 MHz and SOPRA will provide and maintain the nodestack infrastructure and high speed link radio.
